How we work

We lead with your outcomes data, not adjectives.

Aldergate & Wren was founded by former program officers and nonprofit development directors who got tired of watching strong organizations lose funding because the proposal, not the program, fell short.

We don’t write generic templates. Every proposal starts with your outcomes data, your budget realities, and the specific language your funder uses in its own reporting.

From intake to submission

Four stages, in this order.

01

Fit check

Before anything is written, we tell you whether a grant is worth your time, even if it costs us the engagement.

02

Discovery

We review your programs, past proposals, and outcomes data to understand what your organization can credibly claim.

03

Draft & refine

We write the full proposal and budget narrative, then walk it through your team for two rounds of revision.

04

Submit & track

We handle portal submission and keep a shared calendar so you always know what is due, pending, or awarded.

What we don’t do

We write grants. We don’t run your fundraising.

Grant writing is our whole practice — not general fundraising, not donor relations. And we don’t promise a win rate, because funders make the final call. What we do promise is a fit assessment first, so we only pursue grants your organization has a real shot at.

Next grant cycle starts now

Let’s find your next funder.

Tell us about your programs and your current funding gaps. We’ll tell you honestly whether we can help, and what a realistic pipeline looks like for your organization.
